π‘ Feature idea: Allow visitors to lock things against changes / movements
1. What you want to be able to do in MURAL
I wished Visitors were able to lock things against changes, e.g. when several teams work on the same mural in breakouts
2. The problem you are trying to solve
Unintentional changes by participants e.g. when moving around with changing to move mode.
3. Why this helps everyone (or many people)
Many people are irritated when they unintentionally move things around on the mural and then suddenly lots of people want to fix it etc. => Creates a lot of mess and hussle at times ;-)

Hi, Currently Lock/Unlock feature is not enabled for visitors, but limited to members and guests.
Please allow visitors also to use the Lock/Unlock feature.

Doing a large group facilitation over several days, a lot of elements are added to the board. A lot of time the visitors who are participating accidentally move the elements. As of now, the facilitator must take the time to lock the elements. It would be way more efficient to have the ability to enable locking/unlock for visitors. Please add this improvement. Thank you.

Hello, @Marcovanschaijk! Might I merge your post with an existing one that explains this?

I provide pre-packed content on murals. Some of the content should be moved for exercises and other content should be fixed. I would like to visitors to lock things as they see fit. Especially, since the selection system seems to have changed.

Absolutely. In a large class setting, visitor is really the only way to go, and students get really upset (rightfully so) when people are moving all the student-contributed stuff around unintentionally.

Had another session today with engaged Visitors and they were building Kanban boards. To make it easy for them I created a started points with shapes, texts and stickies and did not lock it, so that they could change anything. So far so good.
When they started working on it and changed things, I wished, they could lock things against changes. They unintentionally moved things around when trying to put stickies on top of the shapes (which basically formed columns in a Kanban canvas). Wished they could lock things to stay where they are easily.
