💡 Feature Idea: Welcome Message

I'd love to be able to add a welcome message to my murals that pops up when someone opens it for the first time. Something to direct them to where to start, the purpose of the Mural, who to contact with questions, etc. I put this in the top left corner but it's too easy for people to begin reviewing the Mural in another spot and miss some important context.

Thanks!

As a workaround in the meantime, you could add your "Welcome message" as the first thing in the Outline. Would that help you / your users?

  • Thanks for thinking creatively, manuel! Unfortunately, there's not much of a culture where I work of using the outline feature. Could be difficult to get folks used to checking the outline on my murals specifically, when they see some many others a day where that's not the format or expectation

I understand your point @Michelle123 and thank you for the compliments :-)

Maybe it's worth just tryint to use the Outline in the meantime until MURAL implements something like you wish for. The Outline is one of the best features in my eyes (automatically relocating my viewport, zooming automatically to make content match my screen, ability to hide things to guide people through the process, creating links to specific elements etc.) that I hope that my "Outline-fandom" will spread the world ;-)
