Equipping yourself for drawing in MURAL

I facilitate a lot of sessions, and am always looking for ways to get more folks to sketch their ideas. Cohorts reach a whole new level of expression and collaboration if they get over their fear of drawing - and it doesn't help the self conscious among us if you're pushing a bar of soap around your desk...

So, "How do I draw in MURAL, with something other than my mouse?"

This question came up several times last week, and when I started writing my answer, well, it begged for a visual (embedded below).

    Some good discussion happening on LinkedIn around this, wanted to share one of the best bits here for community - turns out that if you're fortunate enough to be on Mac with an iPad, there's a drop-dead simple way to use that setup with MURAL...

    I have been using the LogiTech Crayon for my iPad and I absolutely love it! It's cheaper than the Apple pen - which was my main reason for purchasing. It's shaped like a carpenter's pencil, which I love - but I know it's not for everyone. ☺️

    @MeghanB it's a bit old fashioned but I just use my trusty finger on the trackpad to draw in MURAL 😀 It takes a bit of practice but works great once you get the hang of it! I've included a link to my MURAL doodle board below.

    I could not live without my Wacom tablet and pen 😍 I use it for all my computer work, not just drawing. It replaces a mouse. It's so much more ergonomic than a mouse. No one ever got carpal tunnel from drawing with a pen or pencil. Hand cramps, maybe, but they go away. Carpal tunnel and/or repetitive stress injuries are painful.

    There's definitely a learning curve, so many people try them once or twice and stop because it feels awkward. But, I promise it's worth it once you get used to it. Even the cheapest model at $59.99 works great. I own a few different sizes but actually like the small one the best. I swear I don't work for Wacom 😉

    Hey all,

    Found this forum and thanks for the work! I can't seem to get the pen pressure to work on my W10 Mural app with the Wacom tablet. I have all the Wacom drivers installed. Is this supported or on it's way? Thanks, Jan ☺️
