Why doesn't formatting follow when copy pasting.

When copying text between fields the formatting of colour and type doesn't follow, moreover it doesn't even follow/change to the destination formatting. It just pastes in a standard black colour type? I would be happy with just either of the two, destination or source, but as of now none of these use-cases are covered and I need to re-type?

    I think the main thing here is that the colour doesn't carry over or adjust. But it seems a bit inconsistent, bold/italics and font seems to carry over from source formatting, while size sets according to the destination formatting.
