Template Tuesday: Using MURAL as a Storytelling Tool

One of the most important qualities a designer can have is storytelling. Storytelling plays a huge role in so many things in my life, from working on design projects and presenting them to others, facilitating meetings for clubs and group projects, and just telling my friends stories about my life. It takes a lot of practice and structure to become a good storyteller, and I like using MURAL’s Video Storyboarding template to help provide that structure!

You can find the Video Storyboarding template here: https://app.mural.co/template/add2228d-e4b7-4cba-8088-d32f7382f453/99877fba-9825-43ad-bc0b-6e75a127e306

Storyboarding is something that helps me better plan out how I want to tell stories, regardless of the format or content of the story. Don’t let the title of the template deceive you—this template can be used for so much more than just videos. The template provides you with a way to chronologically separate each idea or concept you want to discuss in your story and make note of respective descriptions or scripts that you want to write for each of these ideas. I like using this template, especially when crafting my portfolio presentations during UX Design interviews, as it really helps me organize my thoughts and make sure I’m telling a clear story about my design process! What kinds of stories do you find yourself using this template to tell? Let me know in the comments!

@ramisamurshed this is AMAZING! I am writing a book on stories from my childhood, and this feels spot on as a template. Using it for UX interviews seems pretty neat, also.
