How to stop elements from getting auto-glued while dragging?

Hej Folks,

I'm a new Mural User, and I need help.

When different elements are placed next to each other on the canvas (or placed over one another without grouping) they automatically get glued or grouped and moved/dragged together even when only one of them is selected.

Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Regards

    Hi Marat!

The best way to avoid this is to lock content! I'd lock anything down that you're wanting to keep in place, using right click>Menu Dropdown> Lock Object.

(I'm also a new Community Manager here, so if my answer isn't what you're looking for, let's continue trying 😉)

    Hi Meghanat,

    thnx for the reply.

Of course, locking down elements could work, yet the expectation of an average user would be to control elements independently as long as they're not grouped or connected. Besides it adds up at least 2 additional steps (lock, and unlock) which might seem boring to many users. One typically locks elements to the canvas to fix their location or not intervene with the rest of the design process for quite a time.

Is there a chance to submit an enhancement request?:)

    Best regards

  • Hey Marat,

Could you post a screen recording of an example of what you mean? I want to make sure I understand exactly before suggesting something.

    Thanks!

    Hey

the platform would not allow me to attach a screen recording ;) , i.e. a movie file

  • Ah yes, sorry! I meant a link!

Or just a few screen caps.

    Thanks,
