How do I remove the "open" hyperlink in the bottom right-hand corner of images?

Mural automatically creates an "open" hyperlink in the bottom right-hand corner of images. I am creating a template with multiple images in flows for my team and keep accidentally opening the images in new tabs. This is proving to be counterproductive and extremely annoying. How can I remove this hyperlink?

Hi @TaraSands! This is largely a copyright prevention mechanism and cannot be removed at this time.

  • I totally agreee with Tara on this. This is super annoying. If you need to source it Fine. But you don’t automatically have to actoivater a hyperlink to it. My team can’t interact and collaborate without a bunch of windows opening up. So sadly we are moving away from Mural because of this reason. So bummer as we have done so much work on Mural. It’s just too counter productive when we need to discuss concepts and want to include logos etc…. :(

I hear your frustration, @Mornedownunder- I'll be sure to pass your feedback along to our team.

  • I would like to add my voice to this issue. The 'Open' link in the bottom right hand corner is obtrusive and making it difficult to work and show elements in that part of an image. Please remove it. My team is considering a move to MIRO due to this issue. Thanks.

Hi @TaraSands! Might I move this one into our Feature Ideas category? I believe it may be more useful there and help with garnering votes to past to Product. Let me know if we're okay to proceed.

    +1 for this to @TaraSands

I used Powerpoint to quickly create some simple smileys in green amber and red to show status of elements around my board and pasted them in, but a link that can easily be clicked on by mistake and opens an error message page had appeared in each one. I assumed this was my fault and wasted time searching for a way to delete the links to eventually discover here that it is a feature not for usability but to avoid a lawsuit. You need to find a way to disable these links @Meghan if you insist on adding them to user-created images.
