Best Template for Roles & Responsibilities
Hey! Small Business owner here and I am looking for direction on which template might best fit my needs. I own the company with two others. We are looking for a tool to clearly define what we do and what we are responsible for with the options to see a high level 30,000 ft view to zoom into the day to day. Ideas?

Hi @kmjoen! Great question! I like the "team member user manual" template for this purpose. It's a fun way to capture not only what you work on but how you like to work. Hope that helps!

While I'll often recommend an existing template, today I'll share a version of one I used recently. I'd recommend thinking of this as a 3 step activity.
First, brainstorm all of the responsibilities. In a small business that can really feel like ALL the things - keep the mural open in a tab in your browser for a few days and keep adding stickies,
Then sit down as a group and sort through the stickies and make sense of them through Affinity Clustering. If you haven't done it before here's a quick reference.
Then move those top level categories to the RA(S)CI chart. This is the perfect use case for a table. By using the top-level categories you will retain that 30,000 ft view. If you find yourselves getting bogged down put that one aside and come back to it.
Here's a very simple template for you to use. While I love creating beautiful, colorful murals, sometimes I just need to get those thoughts out of my head and onto a canvas.
