color swatch change all instances at once

Would be great if an item was [a specific red, for example] swatch colored, that I could change that original swatch so all the [specific reds] could be a different color all together [like a specific blue, for example]. Sometimes we are updating and switching categorizing and color coding, and it gets really confusing and inefficient because we need to manually update every single one of the color instances and make sure not to miss one.
