📚 Educator Feedback Needed! New Template - Syllabus Builder
Hello Teacher's Lounge Community!
We are currently working on a new template for Building your Course Syllabus and would love your feedback before we officially add it to our growing education template library.
Overview
The Course Syllabus Builder is designed to make class planning easy while embracing inspiration and creativity. Share the template with your teaching team, faculty, and staff to ensure alignment and welcome feedback. Export your week by week syllabus to your learning management system to wow your students and get them excited for the course!
Design → Deliver → Review
Design your syllabus in MURAL. Start by capturing your ideas and noting all possibilities for the course including:
- Course objectives & learning outcomes
- Brainstorm themes & topics
- Course materials
- Assignments / quizzes
Use the inspiration box to collect notes and details to remember from other courses, articles, themes that you want to remember.
Define how you will deliver the course. Use your ideas from the Design phase to create your course syllabus. Organize the themes, assignments and tasks class by class for each week so your team and students can stay on track.
Once completed, export the syllabus area and upload it to your LMS.
Lastly, use the review section throughout to reflect on the course. What went well? What should change? What do you want to try? You can reference this section for future iterations of the course.

I love the "Deliver" section to lay out each day of each week with clear action items.

@Sasha and @Ward I just sent Ward some suggestions directly - can't wait to use this one! On that note, I had a great final class today in one course: one of my students created his own Student Mural for exam prep, and it was awesome!
The feedback from the students about this very different semester was a tsunami of love. They were SO happy to be my Mural guinea pigs this semester, as I was to be theirs :-).
Three more weeks to go on the other courses - if their reactions are as positive, my evaluations this year are going to earn me some serious brownie points in Teacher Heaven someday :-).

Hi, I am new to this community, so I have just seen this template. How exciting that you are thinking of us as we design our courses.
I wonder if it would be possible to make the objectives and learning outcomes sections larger - visually, it seems that they are less important than the assignments and the assessments that come later.
