💡Feature Idea: Lock Outline against (unintentional) changes + folding

1. What you want to be able to do in MURAL: I would like to be able to lock the whole Outline against changes, because sometimes entries seem to move around and change their order. I would at least like to lock the "position" in the outline for an item.

Furthermore I would like to be able to fold and unfold entries in the OIutline temporarily, e.g. to hide nested areas (e.g. when I have an area for "brainstorming" and below that an area "brainstorming group 1" and another "brainstorming group 2" etc.). It would be helpful to keep the clutter "managable" because in a workshop (e.g. "Design Thinking") I have lots of steps in the Outline for all of the groups.

2. The problem you are trying to solve: Clutter in the Outline and unintentional changes. Make it easier to focus on what's relevant right now.

3. Why this helps everyone (or many people): Facilitators and participants could be less stressed and confused because easier to see things

  • Checking, this must have been solutioned by only allowing Facilitators to edit outline. I cannot impact any outlines that I do not have facilitator access to.

Yes, even as a facilitator the Outline sometimes changes unintentionally when having lots of entries and scrolling through them or when adding and removing entries from it... Therefore I want to be to lock the Outline against changes for me and co-facilitators, too.

And folding / grouping of entries would be very helpful to organize stuff for easier handling.

    Any news on this one?

    Any opinions?

  • This causes us no end of issues. Being able to lock the outline is a necessary feature. Please bring it!

  • Being able to Lock an outline is KEY. I am tired of constantly moving stuff back in the outline to where it should be. Outline items seem to move by themselves.

For what I do, this outline issue makes the tool almost unusable. If it was not that a client made me purchase it, I may have to look elsewhere.
