💡Feature Idea: Search & Replace text and "variables / constants"
1. What you want to be able to do in MURAL
Sometimes I duplicate a mural that I've created for myself as a "personal template" for a new iteration, e.g. a Sprint kickoff mural or a mural for a training session. I usually use the term what this mural is for several times in the mural, e.g. "Sprint 3 kickoff".
Today I have to unlock those elements and manually change them. Wouldn't it be cool to have a search & replace feature that would I use to replace e.g. all occurences of "Sprint 2" by "Sprint 3" in that specific mural.
The highly sophisticated version would work with something like constants/variables that can be set centrally and refered to in a mural like "key-value" pairs, e.g. I would define a variable called "workshop date" and then set it once to "Jan 4th, 2022" and refer to the variable in text elements with e.g. %WorkshopDate% and whereever this is used, it would be replaced by the centrally maintained value. Another example could be %Title% which would use the text from the mural's title and show it where %Title% is used.
The first solution search & replace would be the simple implementation, variables would cost lots of more effort to implement and might be helpful for other problems, but both would solve my "specific" issue ;-) and a "simple" search & replace would sometimes help a lot.
2. The problem you are trying to solve
It takes manual work to unlock and replace texts elements e.g. to change "Sprint 2" into "Sprint 3" or to change the date of the workshop if that's in the mural from "Dec 1, 2021" to "Jan 4, 2022".
3. Why this helps everyone (or many people)
Saving time and you won't miss a replacement when doing it manually ;-)

I have made personal templates that I want to re-use every quarter to save time. To save even more time, I would like to be able to search and replace text. This seems like a very basic feature and I'm surprised I can't do it now.

No matter how basic a feature seems, someone has to design, implement, test, document and publish it to make it available ;-) I think, we will see some of those great "comfort" features coming over the next few months

I could really use this feature. It takes a lot of time to manually update my PI Planning template from one PI to the next.
