💡 Feature Idea: Increase the size of the clickable "Go To" button for linked items

Without going to the outline each time, I'd like to add "Next" buttons throughout a mural to move users through a sequence of steps. Linking the object works, but the "Go To" is so small, most are not able to see it. Is there a trick to make the clickable area larger?

@cbreyer Yes! I have the same question too. I often use an object to link to another mural or another part of a mural, but although I could swear sometimes it worked by clicking anywhere on the object, it does seem as though lately it has to be right on that nearly-microscopic "Go To" bit. I would love for it to be something that happens no matter where on the object a person clicks.

I agree - I feel like I was able to make the entire object clickable before, but that may have been just and accidental click at the right place before. I would like this option because I don't always want a user to go back to the Outline to move to the next section. We want to design some paths or journeys for people to move along on their own based on the answer to a question.

Thank you, this is great feedback!
@cbreyer @Christina Can you think of any examples maybe in other software where this is done well? Would you expect the 'Go To' button to stay at a fixed size on the screen (similar to how the toolbar and menus behave)?

@drewan Buttons like the pink Share icon at the top of a Mural screen is an excellent example. Wherever you click on it works. All the icons across the top of the screen represent for me the smallest something can be and still be easy to click for a person with average vision. Ideally, being able to click anywhere on the object would be great but if not, making the part that needs to be clicked no smaller than those top icons would work. Thank you for asking, and happy holidays!

Has there been any progress on this?
I agree that the button is too small, the feature itself has merit but unless your at about 70% zoom or more the small button can be easily missed.

Agree this is a pain - no way is the relative size of this button to the text a fair UX 😂

Thank you all for your feedback. I've brought this up to our design team and hoping that increasing the font size for this button will be available soon. Meantime, resizing the mural is the easiest workaround. 🙂

Hello Mural team! Any update on making the size of the link larger?

Hello Mural Team, any update on this feature? Is it something you're looking at?

Hi Mural Team... This is a big issue for us! We would love it if this was possible...

Adding my vote to this list ... please find a way to make the GO TO LINK icon larger or enable linking to an entire object.

Hey hey! Please make sure you're upvoting above, as it adds to the use case for passing onward to product. Thank you for sharing feedback! @ItsGrant @Vincent @BCPolicyGuy @MarinaCargill

Yes please! Unfortunately the idea
"as a workaround, the content of the mural can be resized smaller which will make the 'Go to >' button larger."
does not really work... You have to really zoom into the mural, to have the "Open mural" readable...
In Miro you can add a link to every text and the fonts can be sized. That would be perfect! :D Thanks.

Please redesign the link appearance and behaviour. Every object should support links. Perhaps change the link button styling and location. Hard to create nice looking anchor links in murals.

When I added a link to an object, I had expected to the object would essentially become a clickable button, such that when clicking anywhere on the object will activate the link. Not just the tiny go to link that is only visible when you scroll in.
PLEASE make this feature happen.

Hi, it will be super helpful to make the object clickable, instead of having an extra 'Go to' tiny button next to the object or text. I have to use icons to guide users to the button, because it's not intuitive where you have to click. Is there a reason why shapes can't be linked? That will also be useful. Thank you.

I have the same issue. The links are tiny and difficult to find

Been using Mural for 20 mins and this was literally the first potential deal breaker I've run into. Having to resize the entire Mural to make an "open link" button visible is bonkers. Are there any plans to address what is surely a simple fix for the devs if it's placed on their road map?
