π‘ Feature Idea: Download voting results

Voting results can be viewed in the mural. That is handy, but sometimes you just need to have the results in a spreadsheet or a document for further work on it - i.a. to derive an action plan. it would be very helpful to download the results as csv or xls-File.
Our current work around is to do screen shots and paste them into the mural for documentation. Works, but looks a bit odd to me.

I wouldn't use this a ton, BUT when I need it, I REALLY, REALLY want it! Such a great idea! ππ

For the nerds here: Here is a python script to extract voting session results from a Mural API response and saves it as CSVs.
https://gist.github.com/chrisport/b27cd5f9c259c5cdc491d4221a32e2aa
You'll find the content for the "mural.json" in the network responses of your browser under '/api/murals', the repsonse starts with
{"version":5,"width":...
This is quite hacky, but saved me a ton of work when I needed to process a huge Voting result.

@Smart, sorry for my late response, I did not realize that I did not set up notification properly.
From my latest experience, it would be somewhat more tricky, because also the context is needed. For example, if you have a Matrix of features and you let people vote in order to prioritize, you also need to know in which column the vote was set, otherwise you still would need to consult the MURAL and find the object.
I will try to look at @chrisportw's solution to see if this works also for non-programmers...

I really would love to be able to easily download a spreadsheet with the texts of the stickies etc. and the number of votes given (total votes and unique voters) to share and "freeze" the results for later. Background: Information from Mural is usually used to process outside of murals and therefore this would save me lots of time of copy & pasting and creating Excel files for the votings...

We do client workshops weekly, and with everyone, we conduct a survey. We need to be able to share the results back with the client, and as others have mentioned, screenshots are sort of clunky and unprofessional.

I'd also like to see PDF and PNG export options - rendered better than a screenshot

Hi all,
MURAL API is now in beta. You can get voting results using this endpoint https://developers.mural.co/public/reference/getmuralvotingsessions
Sign up for MURAL API beta here: https://start.mural.co/developer-beta

Please implement it, the voting results are not visible in the PDF export
Screen shot is a bad work around because
- in the the mural view they dont scale up when you zoom
- the results page needs scrolling if you have more than 4 options to vote

We regularly make our retros in Mural. I would also love to have the voting results displayed directly in the PDF or PNG export. In the download process you could have a checkbox if you want to show the voting results in the export or not. The rendering could be done in the same look as in the mural board.
Alternatively, the possibility to receive the voting results in a CSV file would also be very helpful. A possible structure could be Frame > Card > Tag > Votes.

100% agree.
I see value in an option to include/not the voting results and which session/s - a lot like the Delete Voting Session UI.
Found this thread based off a support request asking 'surely their is a better way than screenshots'

Yes, to what everyone else has said - I found this thread because like everyone else I was trying to figure out if I could download the voting results into a pdf to share with the wider team
